The Institute of Distance Learning (IDL) has marked the close of 2025 with its annual end-of-year celebration on Dec. 23 at the IDL Conference Centre.

The event brought together staff and National Service personnel for an afternoon of fellowship, reflection and appreciation.

Opening the programme, the Institute Registrar, Mr Owusu-Ansah Debrah, welcomed participants and commended staff for their teamwork and dedication throughout the year.

He urged members of the Institute to sustain the harmonious work environment that has characterised IDL as official activities resume in 2026.

The Director of IDL, Professor Anthony Andrews, encouraged staff and service personnel to use the Christmas break as a period for rest and renewal.

"Rest is necessary to ensure you return refreshed and ready to work," he emphasized, reminding the IDL community of the importance of spending quality time with family during the festive season.

The Institute’s Internal Auditor, Mr Francis A. Kantorgorje, advised moderation during the festivities.

“During the Christmas celebration, you need to be moderate in everything you do,” he said.

The gathering featured musical performances, dancing and social interaction, culminating in a shared meal that underscored the sense of community among staff.

Organisers described the event as successful in strengthening unity, boosting morale and promoting cooperation within the IDL community as the Institute prepares for the year ahead.
