Ghanaian applicants

Ghanaian applicants can purchase online application e-vouchers at the following places:

• Ecobank
• GCB
• Consolidated Bank Ghana -CBG

Applicants must ensure that they purchase Distance Learning e-vouchers and NOT regular stream undergraduate/postgraduate e-vouchers to avoid complication.

E-Vouchers may be purchased by bankers draft payable to KNUST Institute of Distance Learning (IDL).

Cost of application e-vouchers

Ghanaian applicants can purchase via mobile shortcode by dialing *447*160# on all networks in Ghana and follow the prompts. Applicants must ensure that they purchase Distance Learning e-vouchers not regular stream e-vouchers to avoid complication.

Steps to purchase e-voucher via mobile shortcode (Ghanaian applicants only):

1. Dial *447*160# on all networks in Ghana
2. Select option 2 for Forms and E-vouchers
3. Select option 2 for KNUST
4. Select programme category:
   • option 1 for Undergraduate IDL or
   • option 2 for IDL Diploma or
   • option 4 for Postgraduate
5. View cost price of selected category and select option 1 to continue
6. Enter your first and last name and continue
7. Review transaction details and select option 1 to confirm payment.

International applicants

International applicants must generate logins and apply online. International applicants who are admitted will be required to pay the appropriate application fee stated in the table below before registration.

Generate Login

Documents you will need before you apply online:

• Passport picture soft copy (Dimension 470 by 470 pixels - JPG/JPEG/PNG format, with a light green background)
• A certified true copy of your:
  • WASSCE/SSCE/ ‘A’ Level certificate - Diploma & Certificate applicants only (PDF format)
  • HND/Diploma certificate - Top-up undergraduate applicants only (PDF format)
  • Undergraduate certificate – Postgraduate applicants only (PDF format)
• Copy of your birth certificate (PDF format)
• Scanned copy of recognized National ID (JPG/JPEG/PNG/)

Steps to complete your online application

Applicants must follow carefully the instructions

1. Visit https://admissions.knust.edu.gh (KNUST Admissions portal). Login using the serial number and pin on your e-voucher.
2. Applicants must ensure that they select DISTANCE LEARNING MODE and not regular stream when beginning the online application.
3. Complete and submit the online application.
4. A copy of the completed online application forms should be printed and posted in an enclosed self-addressed EMS envelope to: THE DIRECTOR, INSTITUTE OF DISTANCE LEARNING, KNUST, KUMASI, GHANA by 30TH NOVEMBER, 2022.  This should be together with all relevant certificates and other required documents. Applicants must include with their application forms:
   • A certified true copy of your:
     • WASSCE/SSCE/ ‘A’ Level certificate - Diploma & Certificate applicants only (PDF format)
     • HND/Diploma certificate - Top-up undergraduate applicants only (PDF format)
     • Undergraduate certificate – Postgraduate applicants only (PDF format)
   • two (2) referees report - Postgraduate applicants only (PDF format))
5. Only results and documents provided by applicants at the time of submission shall be considered.
6. Applicants must ensure that they use active phone numbers and email addresses during and after the application process.
