Overview
In this rapidly changing business environment, corporate enterprises are contending with myriad of challenges that threaten their ability to continue to operate successfully and ensure future survival. In many cases, managers of businesses and organisations are uncertain about the fast-changing business environment and how to respond to these changing dynamics and uncertainties, and this is where the services of consultants are sought. However, the competence and value of business consultants has long been mistrusted in the area of effectively diagnosing problems, including uncertainties (risks) and proffering innovative business solutions to clients. Unfortunately, there is a noticeable lack of academic platforms that provide the opportunity to develop the needed human resource based to effectively address this innovative academic field, hence this programme. The programme is therefore open to working professionals from Ghana and other countries who want to develop a CAREER in Business Consulting & Enterprise Risk Management.
Courses under this two-year programme include: Principles of Management Consulting Practice, Principles of Enterprise Risk Management, Business Intelligence, Analysis & Assurance, Legal Environment of Consulting and Enterprise Risk Management, Financial Management, Analysis & Decisions. Students will specialise in either Management and Transactional Consulting or Enterprise Risk Management and Strategy with their courses.

Mode of course delivery
The programme is offered through distance education, a learning oriented system allowing greater flexibility in learning while students continue with their regular professional work. The programme is offered in a mixed mode format. The approach uses print and electronic media in order to be responsive to the needs of the learner and also maximize the use of technology in course delivery.
At the heart of the programme is excellent online learning materials developed by capable and competent resource persons from KNUST and other recognized institutions.
Academic Support Systems/Services
Limited face-to-face facilitated sessions are provided at all the Learning Centres. These sessions are supported by print and electronic materials, and local learning facilitators who also support and direct students as they work through the resources provided.
The Centres provide learning support to students living in different parts of the country, thus reducing travel expenses.

- A good Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, with at least a Second Class Lower or better. Professional qualifications (i.e. Chartered Level) in Accounting, Banking, Finance, Administration, Marketing, Management, Insurance, Risk Management, etc. (e.g. ACCA, CIM, CFA, CFM)
