Overview
The goals of the National Education Plan, Ghana, includes: to increase population of schooling levels; improve quality at all levels of education; overcome social and regional inequalities related to access, permanence and success in schools and finally, to democratize public and private education management.
The concerns however are that, how are public and private sectors coping with educational innovations within the national goals? What kind of innovative initiatives within the national goals are taking place at the regional and national levels that deserve attention and must come close to scrutiny? How informative and formative are these innovative experiences and activities in order to build new knowledge in education management and influence a positive change? To help governments and educational providers deal with the questions of educational innovations in the 21st Century, KNUST-IDL is offering this programme to offer innovative management, planning, leadership, teaching and learning experiences in education setting in Ghana and Africa.
Courses under this two-year programme include: Theory of Innovation and Change Management, Quality Assurance and Management in Education, Educational Policy Reforms and Law, Economics of Education and Innovations in Educational Finance. Candidates further have seven (7) areas to select their specialisations.
