Biography

Felix Obeng Boateng (FCCA) is a highly skilled professional accountant (ACCA certified) with over 16 years post qualification experience in auditing and financial administration. Inspired by the dent of diligence and hard work, Felix is currently on the rank of Deputy Finance Officer of the University.

Prior to his current role as the Institute Finance Officer, Felix had successfully held many senior finance roles within some various units of the University over the past 11 years. These roles include: the Head of Central University Payroll Administration, Finance Officer for College of Science, and Finance Officer for College of Health Sciences. Besides the usual finance roles, Felix has been offering teaching services to the University at the postgraduate level, since 2009.

Felix has also served on numerous committees within and outside the University community. Some of these committees of the University include: Re-Constituted KNUST Project Steering Committee (member), Fixed Asset Register Compilation Committee (chairman), University Tender Evaluation Committee (member), Disciplinary Committee (member), University Fee Setting Committee (member), KNUST Loans Committee (member), Senior Members' Condition of Service Review Committee (member), KNUST Accounting Manual Development Committee (member), and others.

Some committees served outside the University community also include: The Governing Board of St. Ambrose College of Education (member), Audit Committee of Juaben Government Hospital (Chairman), Parents Teachers Association of Ridge School, Kumasi (Chairman), the Management Board of Church of Christ Mission Hospital (member), Finance Director’s Evaluation Committee of Kumasi Polytechnic (member), Director of Audit Evaluation Committee of Kumasi Polytechnic (member), Salary Structure Review Committee of Ghana Bible College (member) and others.
