Overview
As Ghana’s economy grows, it has become apparent how critical is it to have well qualified supervisory personnel to man the various positions, especially in the public sector. The availability of qualified personnel to serve as professional advisors to parliamentarians and ministers is virtually non-existent. Many local and municipal councils have no qualified personnel to guide them in their performance of their duties. Again, government institutions outside major cities have virtually no qualified personnel in supervisory positions. This programme has therefore been developed to adequately train people to address this critical human resource gap and social need.
The programme would prepare participants to be top-notch masters holders to fill supervisory positions in both private and public administration, serve as ministerial and parliamentary assistants and enhance the pool of qualified, disciplined and dedicated administrators in Ghana. Students applying for the MA are expected to complete within one and a half years and the MPhil within two years.
